Friday Finds

I love learning new things. It's an addiction I've always had, but was seriously ramped up when I worked at NPR. You can't work there and NOT learn something new every day. This was particularly true working as an editorial designer, where I was constantly creating graphics for pieces that ranged in subject from pop-culture to nuclear science.

Today I tend to get my info fix from the blogs I follow (over 100 😳), through newsletters, twitter, and pinterest. Luckily, living in the city, I spend a lot of time on public transportation, which is perfect catch-up time. So without further ado, I give you my weekly recap about notable things I read/saw/watched/etc. this week.

Things that caught my attention this week:

Loved taking this quiz on the Psychology of Color

The Designer Bio Generator nails all the designer bio stereotypes

This suitcase

I learned about Radical Candor and am 100% in. Honest feedback is so important in the workplace and I want to work hard at being better about giving and receiving it.

Wired did an amazing article on the new Uber Rebrand

Doug the Pug and his posse

Album Colors of the Year

This video on Composition in Storytelling is full of beautiful cinematographic eye candy:
